Job Description: The Hadoop Software Developer will manage Hadoop cluster environments, handle all Hadoop environment builds including design capacity planning, workload management, cluster setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring. Responsible for contributing to the evolving architecture of the storage service to meet changing requirements for scaling, reliability, performance, and manageability.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 6 years' of overall industry experience with 2+ years in Hadoop-ecosystem.
• Professional experience supporting medium to large scale Linux environments.
• Experience designing and developing web-based applications utilizing OWF, Java, JavaScript, and RESTful Web Services.
• SQL Knowledge

Security Clearance: Successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related degree/certification program from an institution accredited through a U.S. Department of Education approved agency and in accordance with DoD Instruction 8570 are preferred.
