Position Type: Full-Time

**COVID-19 Procedures: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Designing, developing, and testing software applications for a large DOD organization
• Assisting in analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design.
• Conducting unit testing and assisting with user testing
• Responsible for maintaining application server(s), to include software installs
• Analysis, debugging, and resolution of software issues
• Documenting technical architecture, design, and user guides as needed
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• Software development experience, specifically with Ruby on Rails required.
• Experience configuring/installing software on servers required.
• Database experience/knowledge required.
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS and command line functions required
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof of cert prior to interview, advanced certs CISSP and CASP+ will be accepted n lieu of Sec+)

Desired:

• JavaScript experience preferred.
• Experience with SQL highly desired.
• Experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
• Experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise web applications preferred.

Security Clearance:
Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
