Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent 

Essential Functions:

• Lead security measures during the development stages of software systems, networks, and data centers.
• Search for vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software
• Manage and monitor any attacks and intrusions
• Recognize the potential threat or attempted breach by closing off the security vulnerability
• Build firewalls into network infrastructures
• Develop security systems, analyze current systems for vulnerabilities, and handle all cyber-attacks in an efficient and effective manner
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• At least ten (10) years of experience in performing duties in at least three (3) of the duties found in the Senior Cyber Security Specialist description
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
MS or MA or MBA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or Management related discipline. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or Management related disciplines plus two (2) years of additional work experience performing duties described may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
