Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Requirements Analyst in Lexington Park, MD. Job Description:

  • Gathering, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing high-level business requirements and project specific functional requirements for a major IT system.
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure all requirements are being captured and properly communicated throughout the requirements management process.
  • Analyze business capability requirements against proposed solutions to identify best alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment and personnel, and recommends a course of action; upon approval of synopsis, prepares specifications for development of computer programs.
  • Coordinate with development teams to elaborate project-specific requirements and assist with high-level design.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Familiarity with full lifecycle systems development (agile and waterfall methodologies), use cases and other requirements gathering and management disciplines.
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical, writing and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of and Navy supply and/or maintenance logistics and readiness data, and proficiency with SQL is a plus.
  • Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification preferred.

Security Clearance: Must have active Secret Clearance.  The applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field plus 6 years related Naval IT systems experience is desired.
