Work Location: This is a remote position.
 

Essential Functions:

• Provides technical leadership and software engineering to a large-scale modernization (full re-engineering) effort for a legacy transactional DoD application.
• Directs and provides full-stack software engineering utilizing C# and .NET Core framework using containerization and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies within a cloud environment.
• Works in partnership with a government team lead to assist with project management including project planning, technical task assignments, schedule updates, risk/issue management, and customer briefings.
• Follows an agile methodology utilizing GitLab to track/enter epics, stories, features, and tasks.
• Ensures functional and business requirements are captured and translated into technical requirements and tasking.
• Provides analysis and recommendations of tools and technologies to aid in the modernization effort.
• Develops, promotes, and maintains technical documentation including processes, procedures, checklists, and instructions.
• Identify and implement efficiencies for process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• Experience providing technical leadership and software engineering for modernizing legacy applications within a cloud environment required.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience required.
• Experience following agile methodologies required.
• AWS cloud experience required.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and deal with project conflicts required.

Desired:

• Experience with GitLab highly desired.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases desired.
• Experience providing software engineering in a DoD environment highly desired.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active or interim secret is preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree and 10 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 14 years related experience OR HS and 16 years related experience.
