Position Type: Full-Time


Job Description: The UNIX System Administrator is responsible for installation, implementation and support of the RHEL environment including:

  • Server installs (racking, cabling, power).
  • Operating System (OS) installation and patching.
  • Account management.
  • Data extract management.
  • Application and OS STIGs.
  • Backups and scans.
  • System connectivity.
  • Web server administrative.
  • VM installation, creation and management.
  • COTS/GOTS/Open Source application installation and configuration.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
 

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • At least six (6) years of experience in systems administration and analysis.
  • At least 4 years of RedHat LINUX Operating Systems experience.
  • Any IAT Level II certification (which includes CompTIA Security+) is required.
Desired:
  • Experience with Docker Containers and Kubernetes is highly desired.


Security Clearance: 
Active Secret clearance with a favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) is required. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc. 

Education:
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics (or 12 years equivalent experience) is required.
