Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Lexington Park, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Research, design, and develop, computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
• May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements.
• May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• Experience with Java development in an Agile environment.
• Test code in local environments.
• Work with stakeholders and sprint demos to get feedback on sprint results.
• Work with stakeholders at backlog grooming sessions to understand and prioritize stories.
• Work with software testers to help explain implementation and write test scripts.

Desired:

• Experience with Prime faces.
• Experience with Spring.

Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
3-10 years of related experience and a BA/BS degree required, or an AA/AS degree with an additional 7 years of experience, OR HS and an additional 9 years of experience.
