**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding requires 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Onsite work may be required a few days per month for meetings/collaborative events. Candidate must reside within 90 miles of Patuxent River, MD.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a senior full-stack developer with a strong focus on React, as well as familiarity with the AWS cloud platform and an understanding of related services.  The candidate will play a pivotal role in developing new and migrating legacy applications to modern web-based frameworks while ensuring seamless functionality and data integrity. 

 

Essential Functions:

• Use modern tech stack (React, Python) to develop software applications/systems.
• Package subsets of data into microservices to implement API management tools for transferring data.
• Develop new and/or modernize legacy applications in an AWS cloud environment.
• Utilize GitLab to maintain source control and to deploy code through a CI/CD pipeline.
• Work with applications and data in a containerized environment.
• Design, develop, and deploy relational and multidimensional databases.
• Perform unit testing using Python and/or React.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

• Experience developing web applications utilizing full-stack technologies required.
• Strong proficiency in React framework and libraries required.
• SQL database development experience required.
• AWS Native Services, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes, and/or Microservice experience required.

Desired:

• Working knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience highly desired.
• Agile software development experience highly desired.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance; active or interim secret is preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
Minimum of AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 10 years related experience.
