Position Type: Part-Time/On-Call

Job Description:

• Candidate will be part of a DBA team supporting systems in a multi-server, multi-platform environment.
• Candidate will be responsible for Sybase database administration with duties including database design, creation, maintenance, backup and recovery, upgrades and patches, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
• Candidate will also be required to maintain technical documentation relating to database management procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 6 years progressive lead and/or support Database Administration experience.
• Candidate must work well in teams and in a fast-paced environment with the ability to perform multiple simultaneous tasks.
• Functional experience supporting development and maintenance of a large RDBMS projects in the past 3 years is required.
• Experience with Unix/IBM AIX, Windows, and Linux is desired but not required.
• Experience with RMAN, Oracle 11G, partitioning and Oracle Advanced Security, Express Connect Oracle, ASE 15.2 or later, Replication Server 15.1 or later, Heterogeneous Replication, Replication Definitions, Sybase Migrations, and Oracle DBA experience a plus.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a Top-Secret Clearance.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; may substitute equivalent experience.
