Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $125K-$140K (depending on experience)
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.  Monthly access to US Naval installation with NMCI drop may be required for NMCI asset updates and credential updates.
 

Essential Functions: Spalding is looking for someone who is passionate about bringing users an amazing experience that streamlines operations. You will work with stakeholders, both functional and infrastructure, to implement and maintain a workload management system application. This is a web enabled app with an Oracle transactional database. Duties include:

• Write Jira tasks based on user stories / use cases.
• Develop Java code in an agile environment.
• Test code in local environments
• Work with stakeholders and sprint demos to get feedback on sprint results.
• Work with stakeholders at backlog grooming sessions to understand and prioritize stories
• Work with software testers to help explain implementation and write test scripts.
• Independently handle non-code tasking such as tool migration, new tool implementation, and customer data gathering.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience with software development (Agile and Java preferred).
• CompTIA Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of onboarding.

Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management, or Relevant Technical Discipline is preferred.
