Position Type: Full-Time (Temporary)
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Lexington Park, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Research, design, and develop, computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
• May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements.
• May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

• Hands on experience with creating and updating Teradata SQL, views, tables, and other database objects.
• Experience with implementing Teradata schematic layer views for row and column level security.
• Hands on experience with Korn Shell Scripting.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.Able to communicate with Agile scrum team members, other software developers, Agile product owners, leadership, and stakeholders as needed.

Desired:

• Database experience with databases such as Teradata, Oracle or SQL*Server.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools, such as TFS or Gitlab.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
At least 3 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS degree, OR an AA/AS degree with at least 7 years experience, OR HS/GED with at least 9 years of experience.
