Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking an OpenShift (Linux) System Administrator in Patuxent River, MD. Position Type: Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Plans, designs, develops, implements, and administers OpenShift solutions following DevOps processes
• Researches, presents, and implements industry best tools and practices for a RedHat Docker Container environment
• Develops and promotes standard operations documentation such as technical procedures, checklists, and instructions
• Conducts proactive performance tuning and provides recommendations for improvement
• Implements critical system patches and upgrades
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

• At least 3 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required

Desired:

• Experience providing system administration in a DevOps environment desired
• Experience with Docker containers desired
• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and Security Policies desired

Security Clearance:
Active TS/SSBI clearance preferred. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI required.

Education:
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics preferred.
