Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $120k-$180k -depending on experience.
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office (see onsite requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD.  Additionally, this position requires onsite tasking at Patuxent River, MD approximately 1 day per month. Preference may be given to candidates residing within a 60 mile radius of Patuxent River. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Summary:

Seeking a senior-level Tech Team Lead with strong developer experience supporting CI/CD pipelines. Ideal candidate will have project management experience including managing team budgets; ability to research and implement improvements to expand CI/CD offerings; exhibit excellent customer service and communications skills to educate customers on pipeline functionality and brief leadership as the primary team POC.
 

Essential Functions:

  • CI/CD Team Lead responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of CI/CD team and associated projects.
  • Serve as the primary POC for DNA Nucleus (for joint CI/CD Team and Container Team efforts); represent DNA Nucleus at meetings with internal and external stakeholders, often briefing out capabilities of the platform.
  • Oversee maintenance activities of existing CI/CD environment and onboarding of customers into GitLab.
  • Communicate CI/CD upgrades and new features to customers via various methods such as email, Teams, and tech symposiums.
  • Proactively research ways to improve and expand CI/CD offerings and oversee execution of approved technical plans for efforts such as moving CI/CD capability from on-prem to the Cloud.
  • Create and manage execution of budgets related to CI/CD offerings (including labor, hardware, software, and Cyber Security costs).
  • Maintain working relationships with CI/CD software vendors, renew software maintenance contracts, and ensure CI/CD environments remain in compliance with software licenses.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

 

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

  • Leadership and project management experience, including overseeing cost, schedule, and performance for multiple projects.
  • Strong DevOps experience, preferably as a Senior DevOps Engineer who has supported CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications.
  • Proficient communication and documentation skills with experience preparing technical guidance/how-to instructions, test plans, and providing presentations/demos/training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security guidelines and how to resolve code vulnerabilities. Will need to be capable of interpreting Cyber Security requirements such as Rapid Assess and Incorporate Software Engineering (RAISE) to ensure pipeline continues to meet security requirements.


Desired:

  • Experience with specific CI/CD related tools such as GitLab Ultimate, DORA metrics, and Prisma Cloud (formerly Twistlock) preferred. Experience with OpenShift, Nexus, Amazon ECS is a plus.
  • Experience working in a DoD environment, including DISA Application Security & Development (AS&D) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists.


Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.


Education:
BS/BA degree and 10 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 14 years related experience OR HS and 16 years related experience.
