Work Location: This is a remote position.

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received. 

Essential Functions:

• Provides technical leadership and software engineering to a large-scale re-engineering effort.
• Directs/provides software engineering using C#, .NET framework, and modern JavaScript frameworks using containerization and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) in a cloud environment.
• Designs/creates custom base application layer functionality to expedite application build outs.
• Designs, creates, and maintains custom APIs.
• Uses GitLab to track/enter epics, stories, features, and tasks.
• Recommends tools/technologies to aid re-engineering efforts.
• Develops/promotes technical processes and procedures.
• Identifies/implements software engineering efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• Experience as a technical leader for software re-engineering efforts required.
• CI/CD experience required.
• Agile methodologies experience required.
• API design experience required.
• AWS cloud technologies knowledge required.

Desired:

• GitLab experience desired.
• Oracle and/or SQL Server database experience desired.
• Software engineering experience in a DoD environment desired.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active or interim Secret is preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree and 4 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 6 years related experience OR HS and 8 years related experience.
