Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect in Patuxent River, MD. Position Type: Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Coordinates, architects, and maintains docker container solutions
• Modernizes applications into microservices and assists with implementing API management tools
• Develops and manages effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data through the deployment process (i.e. development, testing, staging and production environments)
• Provides senior-level software development support; leadership and mentoring to team members
• Coordinates with customers to perform software security testing and scans
• Clearly communicates and documents technical information to developers and business stakeholders
• Develops and promotes standard operations documentation such as procedures, checklists and instructions
• Interacts with users to assist with app modernization efforts
• Work towards modernizing legacy applications to a cloud environment
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

• 10 years of experience providing senior-level web applications development support
• Agile software development experience
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience
• C#/.NET development experience
• AWS Experience
• OpenShift experience

Desired:

• 4 years of experience working with Docker, and container orchestration software
• Experience with microservices
• Working knowledge of DevOps support processes preferred
• Experience supporting design and development of cloud operations preferred

Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance is preferred. Interim Secret clearance acceptable to start. Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education: BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics preferred.
