Spalding Consulting, Inc.is seeking a Lead Technical Recruiter in Lexington Park, MD. Essential Functions:  The Lead Technical Recruiter will serve as a customer service champion to our hiring managers working collaboratively with them to ensure program and organizational success. Duties include:

  • Customer service champion to our hiring managers in a fast-paced environment providing frequent updates on status of vacancies and provide solutions and recommendations to staffing requirements and challenges.
  • Mentor, lead and coach recruiting team on process, regulations, improvements, and development all while contributing daily as a full-time producing recruiter.
  • Recruit, screen, interview and recommend placement of candidates for professional, technical and managerial positions from both internal and external sources. 
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates, hiring managers, and HR Director on recruiting process and pending needs.
  • Educate candidates about Spalding, our culture, benefits and expectations of the organization.
  • Provide compensation analysis and create job offers to selected candidates.
  • Post job opportunities in applicant tracking system (ATS), job boards, social media, colleges and technology specific networking groups ensuring OFCCP compliance.
  • Source and recruit potential candidates utilizing online recruitment tools and job boards including Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Meet and collaborate with technical groups, diverse talent networks, colleges, and technical schools to identify potential candidates and build networking relationships.
  • Participate in recruitment events in support of military, diversity and college hiring requirements. Develop outreach efforts to support affirmative action goals.
  • Stay informed on employment/technical trends.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience using a web-based applicant tracking system including managing candidate flow.
  • Knowledge and experience of HR laws and federal compliance reporting requirements.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build rapport with recruiting team and hiring managers and learn new business areas quickly.
  • Results oriented and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experienced in building, cultivating and sustaining networks of qualified, passive candidates and creating mechanisms to effectively manage a candidate pool.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Problem solver who always maintains professionalism and embraces challenges as opportunities.
  • Aptitude and willingness to embrace new technology and recruiting platforms (social media, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing recruiting in a technical environment requiring US government clearances.
  • Minimum of one year of experience leading a team of recruiters.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws and OFCCP and EEO compliance requirements.
 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field desired.
