Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Lexington Park, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Architects and engineers IT solutions using AWS native services and custom developed code.
• Reviews similar existing application code to determine re-usability and customization.
• Analyzes and presents alternatives during solution design including the selection of tools and services.
• Uses programming languages such as .NET, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and shell scripting.
• Uses frameworks and libraries such as React, AWS CDK, AWS SDK for Python, AWS SDK for Pandas, Yarn, and Jupyter Notebooks
• Designs and troubleshoots AWS native services integration.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS-based solutions required.
• Experience with .NET, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and shell scripting required.
• Proficiency in at least 2-3 of the following frameworks and libraries required:
  • React, AWS CDK, AWS SDK for Python, AWS SDK for Pandas, Yarn, Jupyter Notebooks.
• Familiarity with 3-4 of the following tools/technologies required:
  • AWS Lamda, Amazon API Gateway, S3 Web hosting, Amazon Dynamo database, Amazon OpenSearch, AWS Step functions, AWS SQS.

Desired:

• Familiarity with services such as AWS Glue ETL, Sagemaker, Quicksight, and Athena desired.
• AWS Solutions Architect and/or Developer training required, certification desired.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance; active or interim secret is preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 5 years related experience OR HS and 7 years related experience.
